They Are Not Cartoons: Anime vs. Cartoons – which one is better?

anime vs. cartoons : which one is better

Being an anime lover and living among people who don't understand what anime is, so frustrating and irritating. As someone asks you about your hobbies? And after telling them you like watching anime, at the end they just say "So basically you are a grown up who watch cartoons”. Being an anime lover, the discussion we all face is whether or not Anime should categorize as cartoons. This thing that goes around on the internet encourages me to write this article that will cover all the fundamental distinction between anime and cartoons and whether anime is cartoons or something else?

I admit that both of them are driven from the same root, i.e. animated caricatures. In essence, caricature is described as "something excessively represented through writing or drawing." One thing is obvious anime is cartoon with better art-style and storyline, no matter in what shape you placed this debate in. But have you ever believed that if anime is the same as cartoons, why is it more encouraging for anime and why are both treated at different rates?

When you ask an anime fan or ' otaku ' as they like to call themselves why you so much enjoy anime? They would tell you that Japanese anime is much better. Cartoons cover children's audiences with subjects about friendships, exploration, and something similar. While anime claims to be on the broader level of art-form because they have dynamic stories, deep growth of personality and subjects fit not only for kids, but also for adults. This is not, in reality, the only reason. The thing that distinguishes anime from other kinds at the very beginning is its cautious lack of flexibility in animation.

Mushi Pro – an animation studio that took advantage of two factors, i.e. television and a popular manga series called Astro Boy, created the first anime of Japan. Over time, the Mushi Pro and other Japanese animators developed influenced by the animation style of Walt Disney.

Evolving themselves are Japanese writers, but they never forget their tradition as their stories are unbeatable. They do not have the same characteristics as Western style of animation. Western shows are over-exaggerated while Anime has a genre of its own and follows a consistent path that makes them better than others.

The Key Difference Between Cartoons and Anime

Anime

Cartoons

Anime mostly lack humor. Its stories mostly revolve around life issues and human emotions tied to something as they grown up.
Cartoons usually have humorous content and their sole purpose is to make people laugh.
Facial expressions and physical features are close t reality. Also, a touch of big eyes in animation makes these characters cute.
Facial expressions and physical features are normal, but they are not relative to the rest of the body. Therefore, they are further from reality.
They are made for not only young ones but also for the adult audience
Cartoons only cover the young audience.
Japanese animators use complex form art-style as discuss above, same as that one use in movies
Cartoons animators do not utilize the art of complexity.

Although in many distinct ways actually anime is very different from cartoons, yet if we see the other side of the picture, we may know that cartoons are not as bad as they are considered. Every teacher has his own teaching method. Likewise, cartoons and anime teach us so many things, but one by humor and the other by sensible stories.

Conclusion

I'm completing my article on one thing. I would like to suggest some cartoons with great animation as well as the story if people really differentiate anime and cartoons on the basis of character development and stories. If you think anime is best in animation, then watch Avatar: the Last Airbender. If you think anime has better stories then spare a moment of your life and look at the latest release from the U.S. like Death of Superman, Castlevania, and Batman vs. Robin.

I'm not trying to degrade anime or cartoons, I'm just trying to say that they both have their own unique style and that they both grow over time. In the field of animation and stories, anime was his own competitor at first, but now cartoons are also starting to evolve at that point, although they still have a lot to accomplish to reach the level of anime.
